I have been trying to fix this issue now for a while. I tried everything, uninstall/reinstalling Azure CLI tools extension, uninstalling/reinstalling vscode, but whenever I create a new .azcli or open an existing one, I get this message

image

az cli is already in path on all terminals:

In vscode Developer Tools these errors are logged while trying to activate the azure cli tools extension - attached the log file for your reference as well:

I am stuck and I don't know how to go about this issue. Can you please help? vscode-app-1723701074763.log

I am facing exactly the same issues. Tried reinstalls of azcli, reinstall of extensions, removing and reading to PATH, with restarts, nothing helps. AZ works normaly from PS terminal, but this error breaks intellisense for azcli files.

Yeah the thing is that it happened out of the blue and I did everything but still the azure cli tools extension is not able to see az and hence intellisense is not working at all

It turned out to be a vscode issue - specifically the latest version 1.92.1 I uninstalled it and then installed version 1.90.0 and I don't have this issue anymore - give it a try @Kivayan system: https://update.code.visualstudio.com/1.90.0/win32-x64/stable user: https://update.code.visualstudio.com/1.90.0/win32-x64-user/stable

Same issue as described. Azure CLI installed, resolves when I execute in terminal but using Azure CLI Tools results in 'az' not found on PATH, please make sure it is installed.
