incorrect outline view of boost template class method #11437

Bug Summary and Steps to Reproduce

Bug Summary: e.g. boost::asio::thread_pool::basic_executor_type<Allocator, Bits>::execute It is a class method. But in outline view, it is displayed as a function (boost::asio::execute).

Steps to reproduce:

  1. open /usr/local/include/boost/asio/thread_pool.hpp (boost=1.81.0)
  2. Click on 'outline view'
  3. See error

Expected behavior: Display class methdo under class scope.

Hi! It turns out this is a "by design" behavior. The macro needs to be added to a cpp.hint file: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/build/reference/hint-files?view=msvc-170 .
