When selecting a range of rows by clicking a cell and then shift-clicking another cell in a different row, there is no way to see how many rows are selected. This would be very useful for quick and dirty data analysis, e.g. seeing the number of same-valued cells after sorting the dataframe.

Here it is impossible to see how many rows are selected. No side or status bar shows this metric as far as I could see.
I hope you can consider this feature request, as it would be very beneficial.
