This would be awesome - I know of one university that uses Mbed devices extensively, so would be good to have better support. I know the MXChips are MbedOS devices so hopefully it's not too much work to add support for devices such as the https://os.mbed.com/platforms/ST-Discovery-L475E-IOT01A/
