Another issue: why it is not allowed to set path and install application where I want it to be. for example on different drive. I certainly do not want java installed on "downloads" folder.

This installer is designed for beginners without further customization. You can always download and install these applications by your own, and configure them according to docs, e.g. https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/java/java-tutorial#_settings-for-the-jdk

Thank you. I decided to get back to a little programming and checking out what we got new. It is amazing!! I am 67 and coming back from 1989 - 2000. C, COBOL ASSIMBLY!!JAVA, JAVA CAFE.  You got ahead so much and so far!  I don't think I will go far ahead. but it helps me to keep my brains sharp and healthy! And I don't have much time. Only one day a week.But I am still exited and very much interested to go ahead as much as I can.
