Might use an MD file, might use a web view.

MD file likely requires

• Command support
• Being able to open it in preview mode
• Embedding images inside of it

Markdown ideas (not possible with previwe)

• markdown.showPreview is a command that takes a URI. Can use this to open a markdown file
• images for buttons could be on disk next to the markdown or base64 encoded (this is rather large thought)
• how to embed commands? Not currently possible. Script is not possible to execute nor is any link except for a relative file path.

WebView costing:

• Create new webview - 3
  • Add icons for different actions
  • CSS formatting
• Show webview on activate after new install (install version changes since last activate) - .2
• Create command to show start page - .5
• Add support for don't show again - .2
• Create sample notebook - 1
• Scrape release notes from the extension and embed them into the page (or at least last set of release notes) - .5
• Telemetry - 2
  • Track how long page is open
  • Track if click command before closing
  • Track if dont show again is clicked
  • Each event also has flag if first time seeing or subsequent (maybe include release version)

Validated, few suggestion:

• Do not use React or similar. Vanillajs to keep things single
  • Keep CSS in the same HTML file
  • Source the HTML file into the webview (easier maintenance and development)
