Python getting started flow doesn't really help install python #23889

steps:

on windows x64
attach to linux-x64 dev container
install python extension + jupyter extension
open notebook -> select kernel -> python environments
- only option is Install Python
f1 -> create environment -> venv
Python is not installed, click this option
getting started flow appears, giving instructions to set up a python project (not just install python)
"Install Python" step is also already completed

I believe the state of the walkthrough stays static once you have completed the step in any previous session, so that is likely the case if it is already checked off for you. We might explore a way to directly link to the tile in a scenario like this moving forward regardless if it was completed in a different session/environment.

Although, I find it odd that there was no prompt notifying you that Python was not installed prior to this end state (there might be a bug or maybe that wasn't captured in this video). We are working on the environment and discovery flow as whole right now so will keep this in mind moving forward with those improvements.
