Is there any more information on this issue? This has been happening for me many, many times a day over the past few days on macOS.

I get the following error message:

The TypeScript language service died unexpectedly 5 times in the last 5 Minutes.

This error ("The TypeScript language service died unexpectedly 5 times in the last 5 Minutes") just started happening to me this morning when I upgraded VSCode to 1.66.0. This error occurs even if TSLint is the only enabled extension.

Closing as TSLint has been deprecated in favor of ESLint and this extension is no longer being maintained

Please look into migrating to use ESLint and the ESLint VS Code extension
