"Authentication faied to git remote" : Not able to push or clone repo from visual studio code, prompting for credentials. #104432

Not able to push, pull or clone from git in visual stuido code.

VS code is asking for credentials and when given correcte credentials, it is giving an error as "authentication failed to git remote".

i have also checked the windows credentials and i could not find generic credential for git.

i have also tried to delete the tenent.cache from appdata/local/gitcredentialmanager but did not worked.

VSCode Version:

VS Code version: Code 1.47.3 (91899dcef7b8110878ea59626991a18c8a6a1b3e, 2020-07-23T13:12:49.994Z) OS version: Windows_NT x64 10.0.18362

It was working perfectly fine before.

This issue has resolved for me by installing GCWM-1.20.0exe manually
