Menu Bar Not Visible #123386

The menu bar disappeared when I reinstalled VSCode today in Ubuntu 21.04 and no amount of adjusting settings per internet resources has had any effect. Don't worry about trying to resolve this as I already uninstalled VSCode and am shopping for a new code suite.

@bjelleybean Sorry to hear that. If this issue can be resolved, I'd love to get more info to better help other users who might experience the same issue.

Would you be willing to share more details about your setup? Does your OS try to use a global menu bar? Can you share the contents of your settings.json file for VS Code?
