We did conclude the studies a few weeks ago:

Opening an old version of VS Code with old project open caused some confusion. Participants didn't remember installing it and not all things were set up correctly. https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/132167
VS Code's language docs didn't work well for users coming with an existing setup/project, as the content assumes starting from scratch.
Some participants tried to find language support for JS and CSS in extension search; which doesn't give great results. https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/133767
