Please my vscode is malfunctioning in the sense that whatsoever that I'm writing will jump to the last tag and start writing there. This started after I tampered with the setting but couldnot even remeber what I did precisely before this develop this problem.

Does it still happen after you update to the current release, 1.71.2?

Are all your extensions updated?

Did you try the Start Extension Bisect command to investigate whether the problem is being caused by one of your extensions?

Waoh! I'm so overwhelmed with the responses that I've been receiving from git. The problem has been fixed after removing all the extensions however I have downloaded the latest version of vscode but yet to be installed. Thanks I'm indeed grateful.
