My custom bash prompt is gone and terminals load slowly after the January 2023 update

Type: Performance Issue

Hi, VSC just applied the January 2023 update. Now, my custom bash prompt has been replaced with something else. That is, the value of $PS1 is not what's set in my profile script. Also, terminals load much more slowly than before. Are there new Terminal settings I can adjust to fix this? Thanks.
