Terminal host has terminated unexpectedly #175114

Type: Bug

While trying to retrieve code from an org in VS Code, everytime an error comes that "Terminal Host has terminated unexpectedly" and the VS Code window restarts again. It is really difficult to do anything on VS Code please help me out to resolve this problem.

Hi @DanTup , Can you please provide any update on this issue I have been really stuck in my VS Code for weeks as I cannot do anything. Please can you suggest some solutions here? Regards, Hridesh

@hshrideshsngh I don't know what this issue is. I don't work on VS Code. I work on Dart/Flutter extensions and since your extension list above doesn't contain Dart/Flutter, I don't think that's related.

I think this issue would benefit from some pointers from the VS Code team on how to identify the cause (such as being able to see stderr of the extension host process if it might contain crashes?).

Thanks Dan for providing the update. @VSCodeTriageBot can you pls let me know some possible solutions to resolve this as without VS Code not working I am really stuck and cannot do anything!!
