I tried to add the Co-Pilot extension and Visual Studio Code froze. There were two choices for the C0-Pilot extension. I installed one and then the other - I think that caused the problem - When I restarted the program I removed them and just installed the newer version and refreshed the screen It seems to be alright now. I got this thinking it was superior to ChatGPT but I am not seeing any correlation. This is more of an auto-completion tool.
