Thanks for creating this issue! It looks like you may be using an old version of VS Code, the latest stable release is 1.80.2. Please try upgrading to the latest version and checking whether this issue remains.

I had insert mode set to 'insert' and when I was suggested 'private' in front of the C# keyword 'public', I accepted the suggestion and the existing 'public' keyword was replaced with 'private'. However, the function name was inserted.
