I have the same issue with the same build. The basic C# intellisense still works, but my references do not get loaded. Not even System

I managed to get Intellisense working again by switching to the omnisharp server and restarting VSCode. After package 'OmniSharp for Windows (.NET 6 / x64)' and package 'Razor Language Server for OmniSharp (Windows / x64)' were downloaded and installed, everything worked again.

I was using the Omnisharp language server, but it seems that version 1.81.0 (6445d93c) has disabled the omnisharp server.

I have the following output: Dotnet path: /home/frederik/.config/Code/User/globalStorage/ms-dotnettools.vscode-dotnet-runtime/.dotnet/7.0.9/dotnet Activating C# standalone... info: LanguageServerHost[0] Starting server...

I am experiencing Intellisense failure in Jupyter notebooks after the July 2023 update.

On startup, Pylance and Intellisense work fine after loading. However, if I delete a cell, hovering doesn't trigger a menu and when I undo the delete I get an indefinite loading message as exemplified in the video attached.

I'd be surprised if the 1.81 update did this. My hunch is an extension update may have been published with 1.81 as minimum required VS Code version, and the updated extension made the changes you are seeing.

Here are my current installed extensions: image

Any idea which one?

I have also tried replicating this issue with only python and Jupyter installed and was successful.

@Xavi422 sorry I should have made clear my response was to @theScriptingEngineer

No problem, your response incited me to do another test and I can confirm that the issue arises after installation of the Jupyter extension pack.

Individual installations of the 4 extensions within the pack doesn't cause this issue but installation of the extension pack is required to connect to a kernel.

I have the same issue that @Xavi422 on jupyter notebooks. Hovering only shows "Loading..."

I have the same issue on Jupyter notebooks. Hovering works at first after re-launching VSCode, but after a few minutes only shows "Loading..." and no documentation can be displayed.
