vscode freezes when extended to multiple screen in Linux, Feodra. #197451

Closed amirih closed 10 months ago

amirih commented 11 months ago

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Connect your laptop to an external display
  2. try to extend the size of vs code to be shown in both external and built-in display
  3. it freezes; you need to use a minimize, etc. display shortcut to eliminate the freeze, but you still cannot extend the window size to be shown on both screens.

I reinstalled my OS and the problem is fixed! NOTE: I updated the packages first, etc. But it didn't work.

Happy fresh installing!

I swapped the monitor cable order, and changed the main screen in the os (so that the visual order will not change), then it fixed. I highly suspect it'll be related to whether the first or second monitor is the main screen.
