Allow to move workspace state #202957

There is a almost 6 years old question on the topic on Stack Overflow: How to move a Visual Studio Code workspace to a new location painlessly? All the answers there are painful and describe a hacks as there is no official way provided of doing that.

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

Its not supported, the location of the .code-workspace file or the folder path that is opened determines the workspace state.
