.bash_history equivalent (cmd_history, ps_) #208509

Please forgive if I overlook sth major, but I find .bash_history very convenient and VSC's Terminal "History restored" every time at startup reminds me how convenient \<arrow up> would be to repeat last session's cmd History. In VSC you restore the Terminal output, but not the input, so you actually already have a wrapper around Terminal to repeat History!? (pun intended / otherwise one would need to turn to the Windows Terminal team anyway)

How about .cmd_history? Mistaken? G.
