Auxiliary Folders containing Images Assets imaccessible. Why?

In my working project folder I have included the usual index.html, index.js and style.ss. In that workinn folder are also forders for images and sound. Yet when I open the working folder via VS CODE > Open folder > all files are shown in my workspace except the data folders {images & sound}.
