Thanks for creating this issue! It looks like you may be using an old version of VS Code, the latest stable release is 1.91.0. Please try upgrading to the latest version and checking whether this issue remains.

Happy Coding!

When my version is updated from 1.90 to 1.91 vs code stops running. If I download from your site and try to run version 1.91. It won't start either. I can only download and run previous versions.

I can confirm the issue in my MacBook PRO mid 2012 with MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. I had to download and install the previous version (1.90.2) to continue working in my projects. I hope you find the problem soon.

grazianodev commented 1 week ago

This looks like a duplicate of this report. I am also having the same problem on Big Sur 11.7.4 with VSCode 1.91.0.

brokenmold commented 1 week ago

Can confirm.. macOS@10.15.7 on Intel -- Repeated crash. macOS@LTS on M1 -- Works Fine.

Can confirm 1.91.0 does not open on MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) running Catalina(10.15.7 (19H2026)). Had to revert to 1.90

RollingTL commented 5 days ago
