My Code workflow involves opening a new window quite frequently, e.g., to switch between repos or branches in the same repo (using git worktrees).
The "Restart Visual Studio Code to apply the latest update." notification pops up every time I open a window. I promise I'll restart code someday, but I actually use it for my job and I have a bunch of embedded terminals running that lose state when I restart.
In the meantime, I guess I'll just turn updates off? Seems like a not-great workaround
It's driving me nuts. I think it's because the latest update just doesn't seem to work anyway. It keeps asking for updates even after updating, which exacerbates the problem.
Arguably a feature request.

https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/103907 does request an ability to squelch notifications entirely, but I don't want that.
