It seems to be due to the "CodeGPT" extension, which hasn't been working correctly since the VSC update.

Update:

Since the VSC update (September 2024 (version 1.94)) the problem is gone, until then it also existed with the latest CodeGPT version. Only the VSC update solved the problem.

So it is currently fixed
