VS Code is supposed to warn you if you seem to be storing your code in a subfolder of its install folder. Didn't that happen?
No unfortunately there was no warning that I received at the time. So can you please propose a solution going further on? I should place my projects in the sub folder?

Don't store any of your files in the installation folder or any subfolder of it.

There was an auto update my MS VS Code yesteday and today i find all my projects deleted. in the "Microsoft VS Code" folder i created another folder names "projects" where i store all my projects. now after the update there is no trace of projects, i checked recyle bin its not there, i search my whole computer its still not there, i system restored my computer and still nothing, and no i did not back up the projects anywhere as i thought they would be safe on my hard drive, but i even checked my backups and its not there. can you please make it so that when we update vs code that it doesn't delete files. (maybe im did something wrong, im sorry)
