This is basically a cut-and-paste from @philberthfz's excellent writeup in #350 . I'm not sure if there are better graphics available - these are what I'm getting from Github's UI.
We could turn this into a wiki, but it makes sense IMO to capture it in the repo so it can be maintained along with changes that affect winfile.ini, and makes it possible to distribute with the application.
