Publish status update early July #210

We've been having conference calls to communicate status and request feedback. We are due to update our status this week. Instead of a conference call, let's record a video.

I will do 1,2,4, and 5 easily. Someone else could record 3, as I'm less familiar with that codebase. Otherwise, it will be a forcing function for me to get familiar.
