[MGTP-Left Navigation-Mgt-Picker-Picker]: ‘Select a task list’ place holder text is not clearly visible when user activates ‘Light’ toggle button. #2318

Test Environment: OS Build: Windows 11 Version: 22H2 22H2(OS Build 23451.1000) Browser: Edge dev Version 114.0.1807.6 (Official build) dev (64-bit) URL:  Components / mgt-picker - Picker ⋅ Storybook User ID: V-id

Repro Steps:

  1. Open the above URL and login with valid credentials.
  2. The ‘Microsoft Graph Toolkit Playground' Overview page will be displayed.  
  3. Navigate to the 'Left rail navigation' region using tab key. 
  4. Navigate to ‘Picker’ control under ‘Mgt-Picker’ combo box and select it.
  5. The ‘Picker’ page will open.
  6. Navigate to the ‘Color Mode, Light’ toggle button and activate it.
  7. Observe the issue

Actual Result: ‘Select a task list’ place holder text is not clearly visible when user activates ‘Light’ toggle button.

Expected Result: ‘Select a task list’ place holder text should be properly visible when user activate ‘Light’ toggle button.

Note:

  1. Same issue is repro throughout the ‘Max pages, Cache Enabled, Event and Loading Template’ page under ‘Mgt-Picker’ combo box.
  2. Mgt-file-list-File List> ‘Modified 8/1/2017’ text is not clearly visible when user activates ‘Light’ toggle button.

User Impact: Low vision application users who use High contrast themes will not be able to distinguish between the selected or not selected controls because both look similar which is an 'UNCOMPREHENDED ELEMENT' for the user.

@vagpt this is two issues one for file list and one for picker, please split it so that we can address each of them separately

This issue is not repro, hence adding A11yTTValidated tag.
