XBMC. Auto off leds on inactivity #225

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

I'm using xbmc on HTPC and it is always on. XBMC is set to turn off the screen
after 5 minutes of inactivity.
Lightpack continue to work thought. It should switch lights off

As a workaround - you can create a new profile with brightness set to 0 and
reduced screen polling cycle. Then set xbmc to use new profile when movie is
stopped

This issue about XBMC plugin, not Lightpack software. Will add this feature,
but with low priority. You can try to modify it by yourself, it's simple and
can be done faster.

You can find plugin here:

Does anyone have any idea how you'd actually go about "setting xbmc to use new
profile when movie is stopped"? I don't know of any way to tell XBMC to control
lightpack other than the GUI for the plugin.
