Cyberlink PowerDVD 13 Ultra not working with Lightpack #359

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Windows 8.1 64bit
2.PowerDVD 13 Ultra installed
3.Play DVD/Blu Ray in full screen or windowed mode

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected lightpack to work in fullscreen mode. It did not, but I expected it to
work in windowed mode. LEDs were black in both modes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Cyberlink PowerDVD 13 Ultra, Windows 8.1 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
Purchased a blu ray player specifically to be able to watch movies with
lightpack but it doesn't seem to work with the software

Same problem here with PowerDVD 12 Ultra and Windows 8.1 64 bits in 3D mode or
even in 2D.
2D movies work well with VLC.

I have these problems as well! with normal movies in media player classic or
VLC lightpack works fine. However when using power dvd because I want to play
an original blu-ray on pc (this does not work with VLC or MPC for some reason)
it does not function. The light stay out or are dimmed green, red or blue (one
monotone colour). always one colour (probably dependent on the saturated colour
of my background at the time).

Furthermore, trying to use prismatik in games does not work as well. Only in
certain games where i can set it not as 'full screen' but 'borderless' instead
it works (windowed mode gives these awful edges in games).

This is due to lightpack using a screen grab software. The players recognise
this and stops the screen grabbing soft wear from working as it thinks you're
recording the screen.
