LEDs not lighting up - "Error with connection device, verbose in logs"

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Plugging Lightpack in and opening Prismatic
2.No LED's light up
3.Get error "Error with connection device, verbose in logs"
Also in the about tab i get "firmware read device fail"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected - LEDs and lightpack light turning on
Instead - Nothing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Prismatik 5.10.5 (revision 7706351)
Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Please provide any additional information below.
Tried flashing firmware on both lightpacks to 7.5 but both of my units are not 
working.
