Requesting to test and/or provide Thunderbolt work #11

Hi. I would like to test your work on Thunderbolt. I have tried to narrow down what may be wrong in the setup here: https://github.com/whatnameisit/HP-Elite-X2-1012-G2-Hackintosh/issues/18. In the README, you said you were

successful to make it load up in OS but you will lose USB functionalities after wake

For me, sleep/wake work only if the laptop was booted with the USB-C/TBT3 port unoccupied, and USB-C always works after successful wake. In other words, I never see USB-C failing, and the problem with my setup is likely something else. I was thinking porting your code to mine and vice versa may finally make the TBT3/USB-C stable.

Any response would be appreciated.

Ok so I think I should be updating that statement. When that happened I was using TBFP driver on Clover (before OC was a thing) and then tried to follow osy's instructions to fix sleep/wake with that. TB device was up in ioreg but ofc, macOS didn't make any sense of it and tbh all I wanted is USB support since I didn't have a TB3 device anyway. Currently, I'm trying to adapt x1c6's TB3 implementation but im failing miserably because, tbh, I have no idea what I'm doing rn. And it seems that things have changes since firmware 1.16 to 1.40.

I would really like to be in touch with you and update this thread as we go, im available on r/hackintosh's discord if you want to test things together. Currently I have USB-C sorted out and so is DP-alt, but I got a TB3 cable that I can use to connect my tablet to my PC to establish a network connection like on Windows or Linux.

Btw, USB-C sorted out as XHC support only, not TB3+XHC, ioreg only shows that the USB part of the controller is on and working.

Thank you for your reply. Honestly, I never really got to use Discord, and I don't know what difference there would be between using Github and Discord if they both provide basic workspace functionalities like file upload and comment. I'll try to contact you on Discord if that's better.

Edit I'm having difficulties learning how things work on Discord. Plus I don't have your username...
