Maybe this branch can serve as a starting point to support newer stackage releases.

I still believe the PR is usable (however I've stopped using json-autotype, mainly because it doesn't have hackage releases with up-to-date dependencies).

FYI, my pull request #52 updates the codebase to work with the latest Stack LTS resolver and newer dependencies including Aeson 2.x.

Wish I had seen this PR before duplicating your work, @alaendle!
