debian repository down? #390

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

I added the repository in Ubuntu 11.04 and ran an update, got this message:

W:Failed to fetch
http://android-notifier.googlecode.com/svn/repos/deb-repo/dists/stable/main/sour
ce/Sources 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones
used instead.

Can anyone confirm this?

found solution from comments on LinuxInstalation page:
I think it's safe to ignore that error message. You don't need the sources just
to use the program. To make the error message disappear permanently, you can
remove the sources line in "Settings - Repositories - Other Software" by
selecting the "http://android-notifier.googlecode.com/" .. -line that has the
word "source" in it.

Please close the issue.

See announcement that I made on the mailing list - you should now reference the
hg repository:

Hi all.

If you're not using the Notifier desktop application on a Linux system, or not
using our apt repository for that, you can ignore this message.

I'm getting back to the notifier project now, and will be making some major
changes in other to accomodate future features and current ones that didn't
work as well as they should, including changing the version control repository
to Mercurial.

For this reason, please update the repository targets from:
http://android-notifier.googlecode.com/svn/repos/deb-repo
to
http://bin.android-notifier.googlecode.com/hg/deb-repo
Hope this doesn't cause much problems to anyone.

Thanks
Rodrigo
