Feature Request #158

This is a two part request as the request below would mean ideally you support
both USB ports and or a powered preferably but possibly not USB HUB on port 0

Anyway i digress the first part is...

The ability to view a merged list of games from two or more partitions

or

an easy to use hot key, button or combination to switch device and / or
partition with cached game lists

cached game lists would be rebuilt on device mount / load or optionally with a
manual button for users to force cache rebuild with the option to disable auto
cache build in the settings to speed up boot time

or

maybe a background thread that updates the game list caches

The reason i request this is because...

i have a small drive compatible with every single IOS/cIOS base there is

i have a massive drive that only works with base 58 dx2 v6

i have a about 50gb of games that will not run with base 58 dx2 v6

i have about 250gb of games that will run with it

so...

i keep the games that have issues on the small highly compatible device

i keep the nice highly compatible games on the large device

and right now i have to reboot the Wii and swap the USB cables and power
connectors for two drives before booting back up loading CFG and then the game
i was seeking before finding out it was on the other drive in the first place
sometimes....

this would also benefit people who cannot afford large devices but have a pile
of USB keys of various sizes / older small USB hard drives or even old IDE or
SATA drives and USB to SATA or IDE converter that is 15 bucks and maybe a
powered or un-powered usb hub laying around that costs about 10 bucks instead
of a massive external drive that costs at least 80 bucks minimum

I definitely would like the ability to use a USB HUB as one drive i tried to
use could not get enough power from the Wii USB port and if i want to use it i
have a couple of options use a USB Y splitter that takes power from both ports
and data from one or a powered usb hub or even both of those.

I noticed also you don't have options for text filtering / usb keyboard
support? that would be nice also so much you guys could add to make this loader
the best there is...

A far far simpler Configurator would be a start which i might well just make
for you since i love coding .net C# GUI rich applications and GUI's

So you want:
1. support for hot pluggable usb hdd
2. a database of some sort of all games on all hdds
Sorry but none of this is planned, too much work and too low priority.
