Great topic and proposal Miguel. There seems like a lot to explore here and you've identified some solid sources. No immediate concerns on my end, but as you plan out your 8 visualizations and work with the data let us know if you run into anything unexpected.

As for your plan to average the midpoints, it sounds reasonable to me. I'm not well-acquainted with this data so there may be something I'm missing, but as long as you document this clearly I think it makes sense and should provide reasonable comparable results.

I don't have any further questions for you right now, but please let us know if you need any help finding supplementary data sources or run into anything that makes you question the validity of your assumption about averaging the ranges so we can work with you to come up with alternatives.
