Hi @aaguiar96 ,

as discussed on the phone, if you can, take a look at the optimization utils readme and tell me what you think. @eupedrosa thinks it is not a good idea to use an abstract example...

A good example would be the what @aaguiar96 did. The gaussian mixture stuff.

That example does not have a sparse matrix ... that's why it is not so interesting ...
