Phases need values for each frame #11

Currently phases are expected to have values for every frame. There are cases when this is not possible.

To-do:

  1. Better error messages, currently fails with out of bounds error
  2. Allow for phases to have an initialization period before requiring values. Alternatively fix by defaulting to 0.
