- [x] I have searched the existing issues and this is a new ticket, NOT a duplicate or related to another open or closed issue.
Did you? Did you really?
Similar features existed before but was removed https://git.mihon.tech/tachiyomi/tachiyomi/commit/405a75438a61770a12292cc87c0fa36e16668124
Basically duplicates of #24, #247 , #537 , #1186 and in a vague way #150
I was gonna close as duplicate of the others above (for source-based reading mode) to follow previous rulings, but I'll let dev decide if it's worth adding an extra button to the already-packed bottom bar (when selecting multiple entries) for the "main" feature request of batch editing.
Thank you both for your replies! I also apologize for not reviewing my previous posts thoroughly. If this caused any inconvenience, please accept my apologies. I also appreciate keeping this case. Once again, thank you to the developers for your hard work and continuous support!
Describe your suggested feature
Description Currently, when reading manga, users can set a default viewing mode (e.g., single page, vertical scroll, horizontal scroll). However, when switching between different types of manga (e.g., Japanese manga with horizontal pages vs. Korean webtoons with vertical scrolling), users have to manually change the viewing mode.
Requested Features: Batch Selection for Viewing Mode: Allow users to select multiple manga titles and apply a specific viewing mode (e.g., single-page, vertical scroll, horizontal scroll) to all selected titles in bulk.
Source-based Viewing Mode: Automatically assign a viewing mode based on the manga's origin. For example:
Japanese manga: Default to horizontal scroll. Korean webtoons: Default to vertical scroll. Benefits This feature will streamline the user experience by minimizing the need for manual adjustments when switching between different types of manga. Users can enjoy their manga without interruptions, with appropriate settings automatically applied.
