App looping between screens / Not remembering storage location

Steps to reproduce

Open app

Expected behavior

Open normally On first open prompt user to set app theme and download location

Actual behavior

Whenever I open the app it keeps looping between the set theme screen and the set storage location. Also it won't remember what folder I set as the storage location it keeps saying "no storage location set". I've tried every folder that is preexisting on the device,as well as creating a new one both withing the file picker and the built-in file explorer. Both clearing app cash/storage and uninstall/reinstall didn't work. This happens both on Mihon 16.0 and 16.1 as well as the latest version of Tachiyomi. Some quick googling on my part while trying to fix on my own said the scoped storage may be causing the file system issues

Just curious, did you ever get this resolved?

If you didn't, double-check that Battery Saver mode isn't enabled on your phone while doing the setup process.

Maybe also check the equivalent of this setting in your Phone Settings > Developer Options
