Suggestion - bleed on PDF on all 4sides #25

Love the script! One feature I'd like to see: When I have PDF file submitted with bleed on all 4 sides and place it center relative to spine by .125" (my bleed margin), they place perfectly but they overlap in the middle, and I need to go and "clean up" the areas they overlap to make sure cross over images look correct. Is there a way to run the script and crop the pages automatically so I don't have to manually do this? See attached screen cap.

Thanks again for the great script Screenshot 2022-02-23 155530 !

Hi, I haven't yet come upon such a case but I kind of see what you are trying to do. I suspect this will be tricky to support (would require something like "crop relative to spine" - which sounds non-trivial).

One workaround would be to split the PDF into odd and even pages and crop those in Acrobat before placing them. Obviously not perfect but should work.

I also found a few related threads that have suggestions - depends a bit on your target output (printed spreads for binding, single pages as pdf, spreads as pdf) https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/50479/indesign-page-bleed-with-pictures-spanning-on-two-pages https://creativepro.com/breaking-pages-apart-to-bleed-off-a-spine/
