See the following screenshot. Inline completion is not useful when the virtual keyboard is shown, the default key to select the inline completion is Tab and usually there is no Tab key on the OSK. One could try to use another key to select inline completion and change the default in the settings, but that isn’t really possible either because there are no “spare” keys on the OSK.
