My assumption is that most attendees haven't already done this workshopper. So, for most of them, the first 2-3 courses just need to be completable in 30 minutes if they aren't already.
However, to make it fun for people who have already done it we should think of some super challenging courses to add before NodeConf :)
Do we have anyone to run this?
Maybe @dominictarr and others?
Some candidates: @dominictarr @mcollina @juliangruber @raynos @hij1nx (these guys all helped mentor this session at NodeConf.eu)
Also @jcrugzz would be good too.
I can definitely help out on this front.
Might also want to try something like me and @dominictarr did last year which was "build an X in an hour"
Where X is a custom database on top of nodebase instead of being a custom distributed system.
@Raynos you should check out the format thread to get an idea of what we're doing differently from last year https://github.com/mikeal/nodeconf2014/issues/7
Half hour this time, with everything in workshopper, with a second day for people to electively dive deeper and write modules.
Interesting, half an hour workshoppers, yeah that makes sense.
If we're doing a level* workshop, how much freshening-up does levelmeup need and what additional extras can we add to it and who are the people that need to be involved. There's a stale PR in the repo for a new exercise @mcollina started but never got merged, there's probably a lot more that could be added and things that could be changed to support the developing ideas within the level* community.
