OMG! NODECONF IS HAPPENING SOON! #35

Hey everyone,

Just a quick reminder than NodeConf is just around the corner. Time to finish up the workshoppers and let me know of any last minute stuff you might need.

Since the last NodeConf, eight (8) NodeCopters have made their way all around the Bay Area, delighting the hearts and minds of many new Noders :-D

They are now all currently resting in my garage, but could use a bit of assistance. They all need hull repairs (fairly simple to do, thanks to gorilla glue and painters tape), but two have broken motors and one has a broken central cross.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

I've repaired a broken central cross before. I think the replacement cross was like $40-50 and it took 45 minutes. Lots to take apart in order to replace that piece. Down to help with repairs on the day before the conf.

I think we should order whatever supplies we need to repair them, because repairing them can actually be kind of fun, and order a few new ones to play with. There isn't a big official track this time so we don't need as many as last time.

Also, are there any new copters or robots we can buy to play with.

I've been out of the loop for a while on the S.O. track conversation because the conversation started to get really drone-intensive. Is any help needed r.e. arts and crafts, nature hikes?

Great. Just to reintroduce myself, I don't have any children of my own but I'm more than happy to assist with general kid wrangling/watching and helping with activities. Indoor and outdoor education (professional) experience in arts, crafts, nature and garden/farm ed.
