Minor readme updates #23

Here is some ideas for how I would update #22, I'm not sure if what I wrote for IMAGES_NAME is actually true or not.

I cherry-picked this onto a rewritten master, tweaked it a little, and pushed.

The docs are in for a lot of work once I feel confident about the new retina/HiDPI stuff, and will be rewritten in rst for Sphinx.
