This seems more like a support question, but I'll try to answer it. I use forked-daapd + shairport-sync to stream form my iPhone to all other shairport-sync devices.
forked-daapd can cast to multiple AirPlay speakers like iTunes and can read form a pipe file. shairport-sync can play into a pipe-file. So I configured forked-daapd to automatically start playing if this pipe-file is created. See here: https://github.com/ejurgensen/forked-daapd#library
Best of luck for your endeavour. :)

Hi
At first I'd like to admit, that I'm a big fan of this project. It works like a charm for me and I have four devices up and running with Shairport-sync. Actually I can stream to all devices via iTunes, that's no problem. But when I switch to another source like Spotify I can only choose one device that is in my network. Is there a possibility to have one Shairport-sync client that takes the Music and streams it to the other devices in the network?
As an example I found this: https://github.com/nguyer/shaircast
But sadly this was not updated from time to time and does not work anymore. I tried to get it up an running again with older images of Raspbian but I wasn't able to get it work. My actual setup is the following:
3x Onion Omega 2 with the Shairport-sync build available in the Onion-Repo 1x Raspberry Pi 2 B+ with the latest Raspbian Buster Lite firmware and the latest Shairport-Sync build
I hope that somebody can help.
