You should remove the custom fields to select artworks, showcase and exhibtions from inside the Artists editing page - it creates double work. Instead Artist should be a selection custom field using artist name inside Artworks, Showcase, Exhibitions.
This should be inside the Artworks, or Showcase, I wouldnt need to come back to the Artists page again and select each thing.
So the individual artworks page should have the field ( select author ), like I told you to fix, then you dont need to come back to the artist page to make the relationship.
The same should be for Showcase and Exhibitions, we select the artists from each of the pages, meaning we first need to create an artists in order to create the association.
