Cannot recognize a license plate

I was not able to recognize any license plate with the app.
0% success.

I have tried to show pictures from the javaanpr pictures samples to the camera.

I cannot recognize the picture as well. It throws another values

Same issue here,
When I do verticalEdgeBi on a CarSnapshot it returns a black image. The log 
shows
