Accepting dates with BC #299

in the documentation i did not find the way of expressing a date before
year 1. nor in any of your examples.

May 20 1961 00:00:00 GMT-0600 format is ok for any AD date, but for BC i've
tried:

May 20 1961 BC 00:00:00 GMT-0600
May 20 1961 BCE 00:00:00 GMT-0600
May 20 -1961 00:00:00 GMT-0600

none of them produce any output

sorry. i did not see that there are several pages of issue. this issue refers to
Timeline. and i get a feeling that nobody will look into this for a looong time 
:(
