not every song play just using 1 scale, sometimes 1 song can play in more than 1 scale, it can help melodic guitarist to improvisation by using this info the logic is base on the interval, just match it between the scale like example below, when song started to play using major pentatonic scale in intro (blue), when goes to the middle the guitarist can change it into lydian mode just by adding b5 and 7 note into the melodic (the different note between scale is indicate in green)

1 Major Pentatonic Scale

thanks

Nice. I'm very interested in modulation (moving from key to key and mode to mode), and the mechanics of doing it successfully. I'm sure I saw something online where someone had created an interactive grid to do this, but now looking again I can't find it. There is this though, that looks quite interesting: https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.92.8222&rep=rep1&type=pdf
